First, clean the wall surface, remove dust and protrusions, repair cracks and sand them smooth to ensure the wall is dry. Cut the XPS wallpaper according to the wall size, leaving a margin of 5-10cm at the edge to avoid size deviations. Prepare special wallpaper glue, scrapers, tape measures, utility knives and other tools.
Evenly apply the special glue on the wall surface, with a thickness of approximately 0.5mm. Make sure to cover all corners and edges. The back of XPS wallpaper does not require gluing. Wait until the wall adhesive dries to half dry (about 5 to 8 minutes, when it is no longer sticky to the touch) before starting to apply it.
Start from the upper left corner of the wall, align the edge of the wallpaper with the vertical line of the wall, and slowly lay it down. Use a scraper to gently scrape from the middle to both sides to expel air and excess glue, avoiding the formation of bubbles. If there is a positional deviation, you can gently lift and adjust it before the glue dries. Note that XPS wallpaper has good toughness, so avoid pulling it hard to prevent deformation.
After the tiling is completed, use a utility knife to cut off the excess edges and trim the gaps around doors, windows, switches and sockets. Finally, wipe the wall with a damp cloth to remove any remaining glue marks. Let it stand for 24 hours until the glue is completely dry. Avoid touching it immediately or opening the window for ventilation too quickly to prevent the wallpaper from lifting at the edges.
